The prosecutor's office in Antalya is investigating the circumstances of a bus accident in which Ukrainian tourists were injured, one of whom later died, the Turkish Embassy in Ukraine has reported.

"After a report is published by the prosecutor’s office in Antalya, it will be brought to the attention of the public," the embassy said.

According to the embassy, the injured Ukrainian tourists received outpatient treatment in various hospitals in the region, and there is no threat to their health.

The press service of Tez Tour Travel Company said that its representatives were present at the scene of the accident and were also at the hospitals.

"According to information obtained from the clinics, the condition of two people injured in the accident is estimated as serious, while those of the other people are satisfactory. Most tourists received minor injuries (bruises, abrasions)," the company said.

The causes of the accident are being investigated.

"According to preliminary data from police, a person guilty of the accident is the driver of a truck that was coming in the opposite direction, which made the bus swerve to the side of the road and overturn. The bus carrying the tourists was driving at a permissible speed of 80 km/h," reads the statement.

All of the tourists serviced by Tez Tour were insured by the Universalna insurance company for $15,000 each, and all of the victims are receiving the necessary medical care.

The company expressed its deepest condolences to the relatives and friends of the victims.

As reported, a Ukrainian woman was killed and 17 Ukrainian citizens were injured in a tourist bus crash in Antalya, Turkey, on September 20.
