Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk has said at the Polish parliament that he will urge the European Union to impose individual sanctions against those involved in the escalation of violence in Kyiv.

“At a meeting with the heads of the EU member states and
institutions, we will raise the issue of sanctions that should be
applied to those involved in the Ukrainian tragedy. Individual and
financial sanctions,” the Polish prime minister was quoted as saying by
channel TVN24.

Tusk said that he counted on the support of the Polish parliament.

According to him, it was time for a stern response. He added that the
main problem was that the Ukrainian leadership did not observe its
obligations, and the talks with the authorities always failed.
