The Ukrainian Health Ministry has denied reports that ambulances were purchased during Raisa Bohatyriova's tenure as Ukraine's health minister.

“A number of electronic media published reports, citing TVi, that,
allegedly violating the state’s interests, the Health Ministry acquired
216 new Peugeot Boxer ambulances. This report contained misleading
information that ‘the Health Ministry led by Raisa Bohatyriova paid UAH
649,000 to Kras Ltd. for each van, while experts evaluated a van with
all equipment would cost UAH 465,000,'” the ministry’s press service
reported.

At the same time, the ministry said that “this information is
unreliable, as no ambulances were purchased during Bohatyriova’s tenure
as health minister. The vehicles that were mentioned in the media were
purchased before Bohatyriova’s appointment as deputy prime minister and
health minister.”

Earlier, TVi channel showed a video claiming that the Health
Ministry, during the procurement of ambulances, overpaid a third of
their value, and the channel added that a criminal case had been opened
over the purchase of ambulances by the ministry headed by Bohatyriova. A
number of Ukrainian media published this information, citing TVi.
