Two checkpoints outside Odessa were destroyed in a fire early on May 6. Incendiary bottles were thrown at the checkpoints. No one was injured, spokesperson for Odessa Euromaidan movement Olena Balaba said on Facebook.

“No one was injured. Civilians were asked on May 5 not to turn up. Regular and traffic policemen were at a distance from the fortified checkpoints. They called a fire-fighting brigade. The checkpoints are being reformatted. Talks are on with the National Guard and police. Details about the reformatting process are expected to appear on Wednesday,” she said.

Meanwhile, police officials told Interfax that they were not informed about the incident.

The regional emergency situations department told an Interfax-Ukraine correspondent that they had been informed of a fire at a checkpoint, but could not provide details.
