Lutsk – A 16-year-old Polish girl and a 68-year-old Serbian man have been found dead in a room at the Svitiaz Hotel in Lutsk, the press service of the Lutsk city department of police has reported.

According to the preliminary version, the Serb may have killed his roommate and then shot himself in the head. The man had a gun in his hands.

The naked bodies, with wounds to the head, were found on Jan. 18 by a hotel maid when the foreigners failed to check out in time.

“The hotel said that they arrived on Jan. 15, and paid for three nights in a studio room, refusing to daily maid service,” the report says.

Law enforcers believe that the incident took place on the night of Jan. 18, therefore none of the hotel employees heard the shots.

A criminal case has been opened under Clause 1, Part 2, Article 115 (murder) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The pre-trial investigation is continuing.
