You're reading: Two Ukrainians injured in Istanbul terrorist attack discharged from hospitals

Two citizens of Ukraine who were hurt in the terrorist attack in Istanbul have been discharged from hospitals and the body of the woman killed in the terrorist attack has already been delivered to Ukraine, Ukraine's General Consul in Istanbul Vasyl Bodnar has said.

“Good news: our injured citizens have already been discharged from hospitals!” he wrote on Facebook on June 30 evening.

As for the woman killed in the attack, according to the general consul’s information, the body “is already in Ukraine, it was sent at 2:30 p.m.”

A series of explosions took place at the Ataturk Airport in the evening of June 28. One of the explosions took place in the international arrivals section and the second one took place in the domestic arrivals section. Forty-three people were killed and 239 were injured in the attack.

One citizen of Ukraine died in the hospital from injuries and another three Ukrainian citizens were in the hospital. Two citizens of Ukraine remained in Istanbul hospitals as of Thursday morning, and the third person hurt in the attack, who sustained minor injuries, planned to return home in the near future.
