Leader of the Batkivschyna Party Yulia Tymoshenko has promised to stage more protests if parliament adopts the controversial new Tax Code.

"If they adopt the Tax Code, and it all goes to it, we must speak up and put pressure on the government," Tymoshenko said on Tuesday in Dnipropetrovsk at a meeting with representatives of small and medium businesses.

She also said the opposition needs to unite.

Tymoshenko said that Vice Premier Sergiy Tigipko, who protects interests of major banks and large corporations in Ukraine, is responsible for the new Tax Code.
