Leader of the Batkivschyna Party Yulia Tymoshenko believes that Ukraine President Viktor Yanukovych should decide on whether the country will enter a free trade zone with the European Union or continue talks on the Customs Union.

"I think that Yanukovych entangled in his promises, his strategic vectors. He does not know what the Customs Union is and what a free trade zone with Europe is. In my opinion, he is just marking time, and the country is in stagnation," Tymoshenko told journalists in Kyiv on Friday.

She noted that the president in his address to the nation declared that Ukraine wants to enter a free trade zone with the EU simultaneously moving towards joining the Customs Union in the 3+1 format.

"I think this is just a bright example that the president’s head is in a muddle, because he does not understand where and why to lead the country. Therefore I think that he should decide on the priorities and not to mislead the public," said Tymoshenko.
