Kyiv City Council deputy Oleksiy Davydenko, a candidate running for MP from the UDAR Party in district No. 216 in Kyiv (part of the Darnytsky and Dniprovsky districts), is being pressurized by unidentified individuals, Vitali Klitschko's party has said.

“According to Davydenko, last Wednesday and Thursday he had meetings with voters in his district – at the Repair Base and near DVRZ [Darnytsia Railcar Repair Plant] in Kyiv. During the meetings, there were attempts to create a provocation – young athletic men shouted insults and threats at the UDAR candidate,” the party’s press service reported on Monday.

The statement says that on August 31 an attack was made on Davydenko’s commercial office, during which the attackers took documents and computers, and in the early hours of September 3 he had his car stolen. The candidate made a statement on this to the police.

The party says these events are associated with Davydenko’s political activities. UDAR demanded that the Prosecutor General’s Office and the Interior Ministry intervene in the situation since the candidate is “continuing to receive threats from unidentified individuals and is under systematic pressure.”
