You're reading: UDAR fraction members to spend weekend in parliament

Members of the UDAR parliamentary faction will stay on duty in the sitting hall of the Verkhovna Rada, Ukraine's parliament, on Saturday and Sunday.

“We’re staying. We’ll stay at least until Monday,” the deputy head of the faction, Vitaliy Kovalchuk, told journalists on Friday.

“We will be on duty on Saturday and Sunday nights,” the MP said.

Kovalchuk added that only UDAR faction members are staying at the parliament for the weekend, although they do not mind if members of other opposition factions join them.

As reported, members of the opposition factions have been blocking the rostrum and presidium of the parliament since February 5. They are demanding that all people’s deputies vote individually.
