You're reading: UEFA: Lviv Arena ‘one of best stadiums at Euro 2012’

The Lviv Arena, a new stadium recently opened in Lviv, will be one of the best stadiums at the upcoming Euro 2012 European Football Championship, Director of the Euro 2012 Local Organizing Committee in Ukraine Markiyan Lubkivsky has said.

"According to UEFA experts, the Lviv Arena currently claims the status of the most convenient arenas of all eight stadiums for Euro 2012. The arena is very convenient in terms of the management of large human flows and transport logistics. It is convenient for the fans, as it has very good visibility, and not only the atmosphere, but also everything that happens on the pitch can be appreciated from every seat," he said in comments to the Ukraine 2012 Information Center.

Lubkivsky said that despite the fact that there remain a number of issues related to the Lviv stadium that must be resolved before the start of the tournament, the most important fact is that the Lviv Arena has been built and opened.

Other questions, in particular, the development of the surrounding area, the construction of the accreditation area, the completion of hospitality zones and approach roads, will be resolved soon, he added.
