Engineer units of Ukraine's Armed Forces have built four provisional bridges in areas recaptured from militia forces in eastern Ukraine, the Defense Ministry said on Wednesday, July 16.

Work was also underway to remove mines planted on bridges by “saboteur groups,” the ministry said in a statement.

It said that, over the preceding 24 hours, government forces involved
in the military operation had delivered 7 tonnes of humanitarian relief
to areas they had retaken under control.

The army “received 400 bullet-proof vests from Ukrainian industry,
which were immediately sent to the frontline for our troops,” the
ministry said. “Moreover, about 1,000 modern battlefield uniforms and
about 900 pairs of boots have been received.”

“Over the past 24 hours, 200 sleeping bags, 1,250 pairs of shoes and
1,530 battlefield uniforms have been directly issued to Ukrainian Armed
Forces units involved in the counterterrorist operation,” the ministry
said. It also said six armored and five other vehicles had been restored
after being damaged.
