Ukraine and Iceland are to come to an agreement about the simplification of the registration of the national Icelandic visas for the Ukrainians, First Deputy Foreign Affairs Minister Ruslan Demchenko told Interfax-Ukraine.

According to him, the government at a sitting on Wednesday approved a draft agreement between the Cabinet of Ministers and Icelandic government to simplify visa registration.

In particular, this document foresees a minimal number of the documents necessary to submit to embassy for obtaining visa, and a 10-day time limit for considering the documents to obtain visas. Moreover, the document clearly defines the categories of the Ukrainian citizens who qualify for visas for five years.

“There’s only one thing left to do – sign the agreement,” Demchenko added.
