You're reading: Ukraine reports 13 attacks on its troops in Donbas throughout day

Ukraine has reported new attacks on Ukrainian armed forces' positions in the east of the country.

The enemy opened fire on the Ukrainian troops in Donbas 13 times throughout day, the press service for the Anti-Terrorist Operation (ATO) headquarters wrote on Facebook on August 11 evening.

In the Mariupol sector, the ATO forces were shelled three times in the area near Taramchuk and two times near Talakivka. Armed provocations with the use of 82mm mortars, large-caliber machine-guns and firearms continued there, the press service said. The enemy used grenade launchers in Novo-Oleksandrivka and firearms in Starohnativka, the statement said.

In the Donetsk sector, tensions persisted in Avdiyivka and Zaitseve, where the enemy opened fire mostly from grenade launchers of different systems, machine-guns and weapons of smaller calibers as well, the press center said. An enemy sniper opened fire in Verkhniotoretske, the press center added.

In the Luhansk sector, the enemy observed the ceasefire regime, the ATO HQ reported.
