Ukraine plans to open an IT booth in Silicon Valley in the United States to attract venture capital, the State Agency for Investment and National Projects of Ukraine said in a statement on Wednesday.

“Ukraine is planning to open an IT booth in Silicon Valley, which will give Ukrainian startups a unique opportunity to raise venture capital directly in the Valley. This is the subject of a memorandum on mutual understanding signed with the NestGSV and Investa International companies,” the statement reads, quoting the director of the agency’s international department, Ihor Zhovkva.

On Monday, the agency presented national projects in Silicon Valley, to which leading international IT companies were invited.

The agency has already held roadshows for national projects in 11 countries. The next roadshow is to take place in Washington D.C., the United States, on November 30, 2012.
