Ukraine's Permanent Representative to the United Nations Volodymyr Yelchenko told reporters he planned to invite members of the UN Security Council to visit eastern Ukraine in the coming months.

“We’ve got an idea, but we’ll have to get prepared. We’re now working to draw up a project note, schedule,” he said.

In his words, summer would be an ideal period.

He forecasts that Russia will be pessimistic about the planned visit. “I do not think that all the 15 ambassadors must obligatorily go there. If someone does not want to go, that’s fine,” he said.
