Ukrainian Agrarian Investments, whose major shareholder is Renaissance Capital, in 2012 harvested 638,000 tonnes of crops, which is 3.2% down from 2011.

According to the company’s presentation, made at the fifth annual conference of the Adam Smith Institute Agribusiness in Ukraine,” the company gathered 327,000 tonnes of corn, 62,000 tonnes of sunflower, 138,000 tonnes of wheat, and 113,000 tonnes of other crops.

The main reason for the reduction in the harvest is adverse weather conditions last year.

As reported, Ukrainian Agrarian Investments was founded in 2005 by a group of financial investors led by Renaissance Capital investment company.

The agricultural holding rents 240,000 hectares of agricultural land. It includes 62 farms and five grain elevators.
