You're reading: Ukrainian, German foreign ministers discuss ‘roadmap’ for visa-free dialogue

A meeting between Ukrainian Foreign Minister Pavlo Klimkin and German Foreign Minister Frank-Walter Steinmeier has ended in Berlin, with a broad spectrum of issues on the agenda related to the bilateral interaction between the two countries, the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry said.

“The parties have discussed key aspects of the implementation of the Minsk agreements and the current status of the implementing of the ‘roadmap’ for the visa-free dialogue,” the ministry said.

Speaking at the press conference following the meeting, Steinmeier reaffirmed his Ukrainian counterpart that Germany continues to stand for a comprehensive support of Ukraine in the areas of politics, economy and regarding security issues.

Klimkin, for his part, highlighted the unique example of the existing level of interaction between Ukraine and Germany, expressing the gratitude to the German side for its most recent statements in support of Ukraine made within G7 and EU formats.
