The Ukrainian Cabinet has passed a resolution under which 42 state programs will be reduced in the absence of funding.

“The said state programs were not financed throughout last year,”
Finance Minister Oleksandr Shlapak said at a briefing on Wednesday.

The implementation of 82 projects supported by the government has
also been suspended. “We have also revised 82 resolutions of the
previous Cabinet that introduced significant projects requiring
resources for their implementation,” Shlapak said.

The minister said that the implementation of the projects would have
required some UAH 48 billion in spending from state coffers. Meanwhile,
only 1-3% of required funds were assigned.

“This does not mean that we will discard them. It means that all
these projects will be analyzed for the existence of actual funding for
them,” he said.

Meanwhile, the State Treasury Service announced on Wednesday that in
January-February Ukraine’s budget revenues amounted to UAH 52.2 billion
which is UAH 2.3 billion or 4.2% less than during the same period of
2013.
