Crimea is receiving undisrupted power supplies now that liaison with Ukrainian grids has been established, Deputy Prime Minister Arkady Dvorkovich said.

“Power is getting through as normal, payments for electricity
supplied [from Ukraine] are being made on time, liaison has been
established with the Ukrainian grids, as before,” he said at a meeting
with Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev.

Even so, nine mobile gas-turbine power plant units are being set up
and will be operating in Crimea before the end of May, and another four
by the end of June,” he said.

He said fuel was also being supplied to Crimea as normal and that
prices for some types of fuel had fallen 15%-20% at filling stations.

“I think prices will fall soon, when the major companies start
supplying fuel, notably from the Tuapse refinery,” Dvorkovich said.
