Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko and U.S. Treasury Secretary Jacob J. Lew have discussed the progress of Ukraine on the track of reforms and the situation in certain areas of Donetsk and Luhansk regions, the press service of the Ukrainian president reported last week.
The meeting took place as part of Poroshenko’s working visit to the United States.
Lew emphasized Ukraine’s progress in reforms and noted the importance of further reformation.
Poroshenko informed on the course of reforms in Ukraine, particularly, in the context of countering corruption. He assured that Ukraine had embarked on internal transformations.
