Ukrainian unaffiliated parliamentarian and presidential candidate Petro Poroshenko says he will meet with German Chancellor Angela Merkel in Berlin on May 7.

“My team and I are flying to Berlin tomorrow. We’ll negotiate with German Foreign Minister Frank-Walter Steinmeier to see what needs to be done after the negotiations between Russia and Ukraine passed inefficiently today,” Poroshenko said at a press conference in Kirovohrad on May 6.

“My meeting with Federal Chancellor Angela Merkel is set for 4:00 p.m.,” Poroshenko said.

Ukraine is mobilizing all of its potential partners and allies today for imposing sanctions on Russia, he said.
