The accounts of the Ukrainian State Treasury in Crimea have been blocked, and the transfer of tax and customs payments to Ukraine's state budget is not being carried out, the head of the information and communications department of the Income and Tax Ministry's office in Crimea, Olha Sverkunova, has said.

We started facing problems with the recalculation of funds last week, probably on March 14,” she told Interfax-Ukraine.

“The accounts of the State Treasury in Crimea have been blocked. Money is not being transferred. We’re looking for a solution to these issues, but currently that’s the situation,” she said.

The ministry’s office in Crimea said that it was continuing to administer taxes and fees and consult businesses on emerging issues.
