You're reading: Ukrainians send money for Domodedovo blast victims

Some 2,349 Ukrainians had transferred money from PrivatBank cash machines to the victims of Monday's bombing at Moscow's Domodedovo Airport as of Jan. 26.

A total of Hr 31,800 ($4,007) has been added to the sum collected on Jan. 25.

The most active givers in the first day after the blast were the residents of Kharkiv and Dnipropetrovsk regions, while on January 26 the majority of charitable transfers were made in Zaporizhia region.

In general, over 32 hours (eight hours since the service started plus the past twenty four hours) 4,549 people made contributions from PrivatBank cash machines.

As a result, Hr 55,700 ($7,018) was gathered as of 1800 on Jan. 26. In particular, the largest contribution of Hr 1,100 was made in Dnipropetrovsk, while the minimum contribution amounted to Hr 2.50.

"Today people phoned our call-centers to ask about other ways to transfer money not connected with cash machines. So, now we’re also give consultations on quick and convenient money transfers," said the curator of PrivatBank’s project "It’s Easy to Help!" Tetiana Hareeva.

Some more 207 people made charitable contributions from the cash machines of MoscomPrivatBank in Moscow and Saint Petersburg.

As reported, PrivatBank and MoscomPrivatBank immediately organized a charity project for collecting assets through cash machines on the territory of Ukraine and Russia for the victims of the blast in Domodedovo Airport.
