The Ukroboronprom State Concern has confirmed reports of an attempt to seize new radioelectronic warfare complexes of the Mandat type at Topaz holding company (Donetsk), which is part of the concern, by armed men.

“An attempt to seize new radioelectronic warfare complexes at Topaz really did take place. Unfortunately, the situation at the Donetsk enterprise is not simple,” a source in the state concern told Interfax-Ukraine on Tuesday.

“The trustworthiness of information from armed men on the purpose of the seizure of the complex and the further transfer of the complexes to a third party in the condition of the war conflict could arouse questions,” the source said.

“The participants of the war conflict who tried to seize radioelectronic warfare complexes and other property of the enterprise were warned about the legal consequences of their actions,” he said.

As the leader of the Information Resistance group, Dmytro Tymchuk, reported earlier, “up to 20 armed terrorists are trying to seize special machinery and vehicles of Topaz Plant.”

“In particular, armed men are preparing to take several radioelectronic warfare complexes [tentatively seven] of the Mandat typr. They said they want to send them to Russia,” he wrote on his Facebook page on Monday.

He said that armed men also claimed the seizure of four KrAZ trucks for carrying people and one Mercedes van that belong to the enterprise.

Topaz is a multi-sector enterprise that designs and produces electronic reconnaissance complexes and radioelectronic warfare complexes.
