 U.S. Vice President Joe Biden will meet with the leadership of Ukraine during his visit on April 21-22, according to the Foreign Ministry of Ukraine. "The Americans have expressed interest in conducting meetings between Joe Biden and Acting President of Ukraine Oleksandr Turchynov and Prime Minister Arseniy Yatseniuk," Ukrainian Foreign Ministry spokesman Yevhen Perebyinis said during a briefing on April 14.

 According to him, issues regarding the international community’s
efforts to contribute to the stabilization and reinforcement of
Ukrainian economy will be discussed, along with the aid to Ukraine in
matters of promoting constitutional reform, decentralization, battling
against corruption and holding honest and fair presidential elections on
May 25, 2014.

In addition, The U.S. vice president will discuss the latest events
in the east of the country and steps towards the reinforcement of
Ukraine’s energy security.
