Brussels - Vilnius, which will hold the EU presidency in the second half of 2013, has said that the association agreement with Ukraine is the "best incentive" for the deepening of bilateral relations between Kyiv and Brussels.

Such a statement was made on the page of Lithuania’s Permanent Representation to the EU on Twitter.

“Ukraine must show its will for Europe. The EU must show its will for deeper relations. The signing of the association treaty is the best incentive [for the development of relations],” reads the statement.

Cyprus currently holds the EU presidency, and it will be replace by Ireland in the first half of 2013.
