Former Ukrainian Prime Minister Yulia Tymoshenko's defense lawyer, MP Serhiy Vlasenko, intends to keep representing the ex-premier's interests in courts despite criminal cases being opened against him.
“Of course,” Vlasenko said at a press conference on Monday, when asked whether he would defend Tymoshenko in court in connection with the opening of a criminal case against him, and whether the Ukrainian legislation allows him to do this.
Asked what would happen if he is arrested, Vlasenko said: “Well, if they arrest me, then I will be imprisoned.”
Earlier, Vlasenko said that the prosecutor’s office is to submit three cases against him to the Verkhovna Rada. One of them is related to banditry.
