Brussels - NATO Secretary General Anders Fogh Rasmussen has called on both parties to the conflict in Ukraine to avoid an escalation of violence.
He said on Monday that the Ukrainian government is ultimately responsible for protecting peaceful demonstrators and urged all parties to work for a solution based on dialog.
Rasmussen strongly condemned the violence and called on all parties to avoid an escalation of the conflict.
