You're reading: Yalta hosts meeting of CIS Council on Health Cooperation

Simferopol – The CIS Council on Health Cooperation, during its 21st meeting, which is taking place in Yalta on Friday, is planning to discuss the fight against cancer, the health insurance of migrants, mutual supplies of medicines, demographic policy, and other issues, the main information policy department of the Crimean Council of Ministers has reported. 

Ukraine is represented at the meeting by Deputy Prime Minister and Health Minister Raisa Bohatyriova, Deputy Chairman of the Crimean Council of Ministers Heorhiy Psariov, and Crimean Health Minister Oleksandr Kanevsky.

The agenda of the meeting includes 15 points. In particular, members of the council will discuss draft agreements on cooperation in the health insurance of migrant workers and their families, as well as the production and mutual supplies of medicines and medical equipment produced in the CIS.

The participants in the meeting are also planning to discuss a strategy for concerted actions in the fight against cancer diseases, consider amendments to the agreements on cooperation in the sanitary protection of areas, medical assistance to the citizens of the CIS member states, as well as address the problem of HIV infection.
