Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovych took part in an informal dinner as part of the meeting of the Interstate Council of the Eurasian Economic Community, according to the president's press service.

From May 2002, Ukraine has the status of observer at EurAsEC along with Moldova and Armenia.

The presidents met in an informal setting at a restaurant outside Moscow to discuss the results of official meeting at the Kremlin on March 19, primarily integration processes, economic cooperation and interaction in other areas.

Aside from the host of the meeting, Russian President Dmitry Medvedev, the event was attended by Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin, Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko, Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbayev and Kyrgyz President Almazbek Atambayev, the presidents of the observer states Serzh Sargsyan of Armenia and Viktor Yanukovych of Ukraine, and Moldova’s acting president Marian Lupu.
