Ukraine has already spent Hr 35 billion to build infrastructure for the 2012 UEFA European Football Championship, which is unlikely to be paid off only by the football championship, President Viktor Yanukovych said.

"It is still unknown how much money we shall make. We invested around Hr 35 billion in the entire infrastructure. This will not be paid off by one championship, but will serve to more than one generation," Yanukovych said at a meeting with heads of religious organizations in Kyiv on Wednesday.

The official exchange rate on March 21 is Hr 7.9850/$1.
