You're reading: Yanukovych presents books from his collection to Ukrainian Literature library in Moscow

Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovych has presented a selection of Ukrainian books from his private collection to the Library of Ukrainian Literature in Moscow.

The books include Bohdan Khmelnytsky by Mykola Kostomarov, collections of Ivan Franko’s poetry, Ukrainian-language works by Petro Kononenko, the two-volume Life of the Saints for Kids, and a Ukrainian Painting album, the presidential press service reported.

Yanukovych also presented the library a copy of his own book, Making the Way.

Ukrainian Ambassador to Russia Volodymyr Yelchenko handed the books to the library.

The president also instructed the Culture Ministry of Ukraine to ensure that the library’s shelves are regularly replenished with new books.
