Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovych has praised the first steps of medicine reform in Ukraine.
"We have launched it. It is very important now to get up to the optimal speed in this issue," he told reporters in Dnipropetrovsk region, according to the president’s press service.
The president noted that medicine reform started with the implementation of pilot projects in several regions. At the same time, work on improving the situation in the sphere of medical services is going on in other regions.
"In the regions where this work has started – like in Dnipropetrovsk region – we will persistently continue this process, and reform will develop," Yanukovych said.
