Donetsk, Oct. 18 (Interfax-Ukraine) – Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovych has proposed to introduce simplified procedures for customs checks on all trains between Ukraine and Russia.

"The experimental simplification of the customs control procedures on the Kyiv-Moscow trains has shown good results," the Ukrainian president said at the 2nd Ukrainian-Russian Inter-Regional Economic Forum in Donetsk on Tuesday.

According to Yanukovych, there are many positive commentaries from passengers, although there are some procedures that "have to be developed."

"I propose to speed up the introduction of similar procedures and controls in all trains between Ukraine and Russia," Yanukovych said.

The president added that, in particular, Russian fans that travel to Ukraine for Euro 2012 matches would appreciate the simplified procedure.
