Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovych has said that the process of the adoption of the Tax Code is transparent.
"We currently have a transparent process of the adoption of the Tax Code," he said at a meeting of the National Security and Defense Council in Kyiv on Wednesday.
At the same time, Yanukovych criticized calls for the organization of an "entrepreneurial Maidan" (the president was referring to Maidan Nezalezhnosti, or Independence Square in Kyiv, where hundreds of thousands of people protested during the Orange Revolution).
"We should by no means stop halfway. And the calls that we will allegedly organize an entrepreneurial Maidan are calls made by those who like not working in line with law," he said.
Many entrepreneurs in Ukraine took to the streets to protest against the adoption of the Tax Code by the Ukrainian parliament.
