Ukraine is rigidly fulfilling its international obligations in the sphere of armament supplies and is attempting not to politicize the issue, Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovych has said.

In an interview with the Indian publication The Hindu, when asked to express his opinion about Ukraine’s willingness to intensify cooperation with India in the defense sphere and with Pakistan in the sphere of armament supplies, the president said: “This is a very sensitive issue, and we are trying not to politicize it.

We strictly observer all bans and restrictions of the UN, and we also fulfill all of our international obligations. We take into account all factors, and we act in a restrained manner in order to avoid animosity or wars between nations, and on the contrary promote peace and safety.”
