DNIPROPETROVSK– A special session of the Verkhovna Rada, Ukraine's parliament, may take place on July 31, the president's representative in the parliament, MP Yuriy Miroshnychenko of the Regions Party, has said.

At a press conference in Dnipropetrovsk, he said plans to hold a special session were not due to any urgent political need.

According to him, the special session was called due to the fact that
the Cabinet of Ministers had been preparing a number of economic and
social laws that needed to be considered by the parliament.

At the same time, Miroshnychenko noted that the date of the session
may be changed, since the laws that the cabinet is preparing first have
to be examined by the relevant parliament committees and to be appraised
by experts.

He also said he wouldn’t the laws in question.
