Ukrainian government will allocate Hr 100 million to buy 22 BTR-3E armored personnel carriers (APCs) for the Armed Forces and the National Guard, Ukraine's Prime Minister Arseniy Yatseniuk said.
“We will invest Hr 100 million in buying these APCs… Nothing has been bought in 23 years. What we had two months ago and what we have today are stunningly different pictures,” he told reporters during his visit to a military base in the Kyiv region on Thursday.
The prime minister was there to hand over modern special communications devices, bulletproof vests of various protection degrees and helmets, all different from Russian standards.
