The government bill on imposing sanctions against entities and individuals involved in the occupation of Crimea and terrorism in the east of Ukraine foresees the possibility of ceasing natural gas transit through the territory of Ukraine, Prime Minister Arseniy Yatsenyuk has said.

“I mean the instruments stipulated in the law [the government bill on
sanctions], including the possibility of halting any kind of transit –
air travel and transit of resources,” prime minister said.

Yatsenyuk noted that specific sanctions, if the draft law is passed, would be introduced by the decision of the National Security Defence Council.
