Yevhenia Tymoshenko, daughter of jailed opposition leader and former Ukrainian prime minister Yulia Tymoshenko, has said that reports claiming she intends to go into politics are provocations that are called to discredit her attempts to inform European society about the real human rights situation in Ukraine.

"I don’t want to go into politics. I have always said this. I don’t see myself in politics. Recently there was provocation on this subject that was used to devalue the work I’m doing right now, which is to tell the world what is happening with mom and in Ukraine," the ex-premier’s daughter said in an interview with TVi channel, according to Tymoshenko’s Web site.
