Judge Yuriy Baulin, who earlier served as the chairman of the Constitutional Court of Ukraine, was again elected to this position by secret ballot on Tuesday.

The ballot was held at a special plenary meeting of the Constitutional Court in line with Article 148 of the Constitution and Article 20 of the Law on the Constitutional Court of Ukraine, the court’s press service reported.

“The chairman of the court is elected from among the judges of the Constitutional Court for three-year term by secret ballot through submitting ballots with any number of candidates proposed by the judges of the Constitutional Court of Ukraine, and is considered to be elected if he/she receives support from more than half of the constitutional composition of the court,” the statement reads.
