The Front for Change Party leader Arseniy Yatseniuk has said that the Dictatorship Resistance Committee will coordinate the efforts of opposition parties at the parliamentary elections.
"The first issue [of the committee's activities] is holding joint rallies outside the court [Pechersky District Court in Kyiv which is hearing Yulia Tymoshenko's case]," Yatseniuk said on Channel 5 on Wednesday evening.

He said that the ex-premier's support by opposition parties means that the opposition is protecting the institute of democracy in the country.

He said that the next step of the Dictatorship Resistance Committee will be coordination of efforts at the parliamentary elections.

The Front for Change leader said the opposition parties should jointly decide on the candidates at the upcoming parliamentary elections who will be nominated in single-member constituencies.

According to him, in this case the opposition will be able to win the majority, which will not be controlled by the government.

Yatseniuk stressed that the main task of the opposition today is to strive for the acquittal of former premier and opposition leader Yulia Tymoshenko, who is charged with abuse of power during the signing of the gas supply contracts with Russia in 2009.
