Commander of the Donbas voluntary battalion of territorial defense in Donetsk region Semen Semenchenko has said that groups of militants are crossing the Ukrainian-Russian border on a daily basis.

“The terrorist groups are rotated from time to time. Groups are taken
from the cities and sent to rest in camps (former children’s camps in
Luhansk and Donetsk regions). Lowlifes from the ‘Donetsk People’s
Republic’ (DPR) are trained and gathered in fighting groups there.
Sometimes, groups are taken to the Russian Federation. The border isn’t
closed. Weapons and mercenaries are brought from adjoining territory. Up
to 15 people a day are coming from Novoazovsky district alone,”
Semenchenko wrote on his Facebook page on Wednesday.

“The separatists’ main assault power consist of Chechen militants and
former Crimean Alfa and Berkut [special forces units],” he said.
