You're reading: Gryshchenko: Ukraine-EU Summit will be held

The Ukraine-EU Summit will take place this year, but the sides have not selected a venue or the date of the event, Ukrainian Foreign Minister Kostiantyn Gryshchenko has said.

“The summit is not under threat, [but] we have not decided on the
venue and the date for holding it. We are discussing the issue and we
hold it annually, as foreseen by the agreement on partnership and
cooperation between Ukraine and the EU concluded in 1994,” the minister
said in an exclusive interview with Interfax-Ukraine.

In late August, the previous head of the EU Delegation to Ukraine,
Jose Manuel Pinto Teixeira, said that the summit could be cancelled due
to the absence of the necessary conditions and agreements.
