Vice Prime Minister, Minister of Infrastructure Borys Kolesnikov has thanked German companies and entrepreneurs for their contribution to the development of objects for Euro 2012, in particular, the reconstruction of the Olympiysky national sports complex and Ukrainian airports.

"We can hardly overestimate this contribution. Those who lived during Soviet times know that the country had been closed for 74 years. Only one airport, Sheremetyevo-2, was developed on the whole territory of the former USSR. Therefore we could not train appropriate specialists and there could not be technologies for modern airports," he said at the panel discussion "Image of Ukraine before and after Euro 2012."

Kolesnikov stressed that thanks to such companies as Lufthansa, Siemens, which provided the Euro 2012 facilities with electrical and medical equipment, the preparation for the tournament is going successfully.
