Ukrainian Prime Minister Arseniy Yatseniuk has announced conditions on which the new Ukrainian authorities are ready to discuss the Crimean situation with Russia.

“We have declared our preparedness to negotiate with the Russian
government but for doing so our Russian neighbors should first of all
pull out its forces and, secondly, honor the bilateral and multinational
commitments Russia has signed. Thirdly, [it] must stop supporting the
separatists,” Yatseniuk told a press conference in Kyiv on Friday.

“We are ready to build relations with Russia,” the prime minister
said. “But Ukraine will never be a subordinate or branch of Russia,” he
added.
