Kyiv, July 18 (Interfax-Ukraine) – The Ukrainian-based Mafia restaurant chain of Italian and Japanese cuisine intends by the end of this year to prepare franchises for the development of the Casta network of pan-Asian cuisine restaurants and will begin its development under the terms of franchise in the regions of Ukraine from 2014, Mafia and Casta founder and co-owner Oksana Serediuk has said.

“By the end of the year, we will streamline all standards and steps of control. We understand that after the New Year we can go to the regions,” she said at a press lunch on occasion of the re-branding of the Casta network in Kyiv.

Serediuk added that the Mafia regional franchisee networks are interested in cooperation regarding the opening of Casta pan-Asian cuisine restaurants.

In addition, representatives of foreign business are interested in cooperation on the development of the Casta network under the terms of franchise, she said, without specifying the details, noting that the matter does not concern the CIS.

Serediuk also confirmed the previously announced plans to expand the Casta network by late 2013 to three own objects in Kyiv, adding that Casta considers it appropriate to open at least two more such restaurants and expand the network to five objects in Kyiv.
