Odesa City Council will hold an extraordinary session on language policy in the city on Tuesday, August 14, according to the council's media liaisons department.

The session will consider only one question – the implementation of the provisions of the Ukrainian law on principles of state language policy in the city of Odesa.

As reported, on Wednesday, Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovych signed the law on principles of state language policy and instructed the Cabinet of Ministers to set up a working group to develop proposals to improve legislation on the use of languages in Ukraine.
