The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine (Ukraine's parliament) has adopted a law on aquaculture (fish breeding), taking into account the president's proposals.

A total of 264 MPs of the 322 registered for voting supported the law on Tuesday.

The law determines the principles of state policy, as well as the
basis for the development and functioning of aquaculture, and the legal
framework for the work of executive and local government bodies in this
sphere.

In particular, the MPs agreed with the president’s proposal not to introduce licensing of work in the aquaculture sector.
